Bizzell Awarded USAID EVAL MEL II IDIQ

July 13, 2020 (Lanham, MD) –  The Bizzell Group (Bizzell) was awarded a prime contract under the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Bureau for Policy, Planning, and Learning Office of Learning, Evaluation, and Research (PPL/LER) to provide monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) services through the EVAL ME II IDIQ. This work is aimed at strengthening USAID’s evidence-based decision making by providing high quality and timely MEL services.

Under this new contract, Bizzell will design and implement quantitative and qualitative evaluation studies and assessments; conduct evaluation synthesis or synthetic reviews; provide technical assistance in performance monitoring; provide monitor services, develop and deliver evaluation and monitor training; support the agency in learning from evidence to adapt programming; and support implementation of knowledge management practices and services.

Bizzell is joined by MEL practitioners, QED Group and NORC, as sub-contractors on the opportunity.

Bizzell Supports Our Military

On November 30, 2017, Dr. Anton Bizzell, CEO and President of The Bizzell Group (Bizzell) and senior Bizzell staff met with Jean Hulet, the Maryland State Chair of the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Program (ESGR), to sign a Statement of Support with ESGR.  By signing ESGR’s Statement of Support, Bizzell solidifies its deep commitment as an advocate and supportive employer for our National Guard and Reserve employees. Bizzell is proud to support our military by providing employment and employment opportunities for those who serve in the National Guard and Reserves and Veterans.

ESGR was started by the Department of Defense in the early 1970s to foster cooperation and understanding between employers and Service members. ESGR has more than 3,600 trained volunteers in communities throughout the United States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam and the U.S. Virgin Islands.  ESGR educates employers about the Reserve component of the military, assists with resolving conflicts that arise from an employee’s Reserve status and commitments, and recognizes employers with policies that support and encourage participation in the Reserves.

Bizzell sponsored a community outreach Veterans’ appreciation luncheon and toiletry donation event on Friday, November 7th in Atlanta GA, in collaboration with National Contract Management Association (NCMA) Atlanta Chapter. The recipient organization, Quest Community Development Organization (QCDO), promotes a best in class, diverse housing model that encourages collaboration and positive community change. QCDO is committed to enhancing and inspiring personal, professional, and team growth through unique experiences, continued education, and strong work ethic.

QCDO provides housing programs and supportive services that are targeted toward the chronically homeless population of men, women and Veterans with a history of mental illness and/or substance addiction directly affecting the human health and welfare of individuals.

Bizzell also supports the military through our Department of Defense (DoD) contract, which focuses on suicide prevention, intervention, and posvention efforts for Service members and their families. We believe that it is our sacred duty to ensure the health and well-being of our brave Service members. We must provide proper care for those who sacrifice so much for the freedom we enjoy. Through the contract, assist the DoD with the development and implementation of a suicide prevention, outreach, and communication plan for Service members, their families, and DoD Civilians.

Bizzell Names Randolph Edmead Vice President

December 12, 2013 – The Bizzell Group (Bizzell), a U.S. Small Business Administration 8(a) certified consulting firm and provider of consulting services and technology solutions to government and commercial clients, has named Randolph Edmead to the position of Vice President.

A senior executive with more than 20 years of project management experience, Mr. Edmead will build upon Bizzell’s success in providing management consulting services for Federal and private clients.

Over the past few years, Mr. Edmead has developed an extensive background in managing large teams in behavioral health, substance abuse disorders, prevention, policy and evaluation service areas. Mr. Edmead has a Project Management Institute (PMI) certificate and over 20 years of experience developing, implementing, and managing behavioral healthcare and substance abuse treatment and prevention programs; providing technical assistance and training to health care providers and staff on leading practices, human resources, accreditation survey support, skills development, and cultural competency; and consulting with healthcare organizations/treatment facilities. He is an accomplished and successful manager who has worked extensively with local, state, Federal government agencies, private organizations, and community groups to strategically plan, fund, manage, and implement programs and projects.

Previously, he served as the Senior Project Director for the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s (SAMHSA) Enhancing Substance Abuse Treatment Service to Address Hepatitis Infection Amongst Intravenous Drug Users (IDUs) contract that provided technical assistance on opioid abuse and its comorbidities such as HIV/AIDS and hepatitis C to over 1100 Opioid Treatment Programs throughout the nation and territories. He also directed SAMHSA Center for Substance Abuse Prevention’s Prevention Fellowship Program, its Technical Support for Federal Drug Free Workplace Program Services, and he served as the Associate Project Director for the SAMHSA Opioid Treatment Technical Assistance Project.
