Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), Maternal and Child Health Bureau (MCHB)
Provided expertise and supported efforts to promote and improve the health and well-being of women, newborns, children, and adolescents by providing data collection and program analysis, best practice recommendations, and technical assistance in support of these goals. Conducted multi-day site visits of grantees across the U.S. and its territories to assess implementation of maternal and child health early home visiting programs, and to provide fiscal and programmatic consultation to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA)
Conducted research, analysis, and dissemination of reports on evidence-based practices to support individuals with mental health conditions and substance use disorders, which included literature reviews, environmental scans, qualitative interviews, analytics, and writing. Provided training and technical assistance to providers across the country to enhance knowledge and delivery of treatment for substance use disorders.
National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA)
Provided analysis, research, evaluation, administrative guidance, and strategic communications to promote the dissemination of research results into modern treatment strategies to address the opioid epidemic.
U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Office on Women’s Health (OWH)
Provided leadership, coordination, and management of programs in support of women’s health conferences and meetings, to advance interagency collaboration and dissemination of research and best practices on health needs identification and women’s health improvement of women’s health. Areas of focus included Veterans’ women’s health, refugee women’s health, and maternal and child health. Managed all aspects of meeting planning and coordination, and provided pre- andpost-conference services, including meeting minutes, analysis and reports, and a report to Congress.
Center for Behavioral Health Advancement
Develop innovative prevention and treatment models and strategies for addressing barriers to preventing and treating substance use disorders. Provide comprehensive and innovative services to mitigate the effects of Opioid Use Disorder, educate the public and prevent overdose. Collaborate with treatment programs, professional organizations, governmental entities, and other stakeholders to address the opioid epidemic using a variety of techniques.
