Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)- The Democratic Republic of the Congo
Provided technical guidance on surveillance and contact tracing and management of associated data pertaining to Ebola response efforts. Mentored and trained junior CDC staff on associated Ebola surveillance, contact tracing and data management and evaluation activities. Provided guidance on infection prevention control and Ebola triage case assessment efforts.
United States Agency for International Development (USAID)-Thailand
Developed strategic frameworks, evaluations, scopes of work, requests for assistance and proposals, and briefing documents on gender equality and female empowerment. Provided technical assistance and facilitated gender trainings that to empower and build the confidence among targeted populations. Updated agency staff on the status of all new initiatives, strategies, and policies related to gender integration, gender-based violence.
National Cancer Institute (NCI)- South Africa
Supported meetings through communications and conference planning services in Cape Town with participants from over 23 different countries. Coordinated the NCI presence in the exhibit hall in collaboration with the other international health agencies.
National Institute on Mental Health (NIMH), Office for Research on Disparities and Global Mental Health– Canada
Promoted strategies and research to increase attention to global mental health. Managed logistics, graphics, speakers, developed the website, and provided registration support for the annual mental health workshop for global mental health researchers, innovators, and other stakeholders.
CDC Ministry of Health (MoH)- Haiti
Managed public health assistance to fulfill activities related to the post-earthquake health systems recovery and reconstruction for Haiti. Trained and supported CDC temporary duty (TDY) assignments and PEPFAR staff with cross-cutting support that included the strengthening of health information systems, public health surveillance activities, and diagnostic laboratory testing.
