Bizzell is proud to be certified by the U.S. Small Business Administration as a HUBZone. The HUBZone program aims to stimulate economic development in underserved areas by providing contracting opportunities to businesses situated in those regions. An SBA HUBZone certification signifies that a small business is located in a designated “Historically Underutilized Business Zone” (HUBZone), which allows them to compete for federal government contracts with preferential treatment, including set-aside contracts and a price evaluation advantage, due to their location in an economically distressed area; essentially giving them a leg up when bidding on certain government contracts compared to other businesses not in a HUBZone.
