Director of Business Development

Mr. Silva served as Business Development Manager for ACI Solutions, a small business focused on cyber and unified communications solutions in the federal/state/local government and commercial space. In this position, he managed the firm’s book of clients including Transportation Security Agency, U.S. Courts, Federal Aviation Administration, Health and Human Services, and the Defense Information Systems Agency.

At ACI Mr. Silva ensured the continual increase of revenue and growth and was entrusted with orchestrating the sales strategy, personally managing customer relationships and driving the sales process forward.

Prior to joining ACI, Mr. Silva established a record of advancement with several organizations in the D.C. area. As an adept manager, he has secured new business, partnerships, through effective marketing and relationship building.

Mr. Silva also served as a member of the prestigious United States House of Representatives Legislative Fellowship Program, a program that offers exceptional young men and women first-hand experience working at the highest levels of the Federal government.

As a Congressional Fellow, Mr. Silva played an integral role in providing support for Congressman Edolphus “Ed” Towns representing the 10th Congressional District of New York State. Mr. Silva participated in the development of issues on pending bills and assisted Congressional hearings and press conferences.

Mr. Silva also assisted in the coordination of briefings on the implications to the social work profession by the Health Care Reform Legislation Action of the 111th United States Congress. This action was generated from the passing of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (H.R. 3590) and the Affordable Health Care for America Act (H.R. 3962), both signed into law by President Barack Obama.

Mr. Silva is a native of Waterbury, Connecticut. He received a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from the Southern Connecticut State University and a Master’s of Macro Social Work from Howard University.

Mr. Silva resides in Washington, D.C. with his wife Lauren and his identical twin daughters, Lennon and Jagger.
